Niagara Falls Air Tour
Air Tour Over Niagara Falls The Niagara Falls Air Tour provides a breathtaking tour of the Niagara region including attractions such as historic Niagara-on-the-Lake, the Welland Canal, and majestic Niagara Falls. On a clear day, you may even be able to see the Toronto skyline! An informative in-flight commentary is provided to enhance your tour experience. No one flies closer to the Falls, not even the helicopters, and we are the only airplane tour specially licensed to fly in the scenic area surrounding the falls. Every seat is a window seat!
Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final. Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center. Your 25-minute flight will take you over historic Niagara-on-the-Lake. Here you will not only see the hundreds of sail boats and the mouth of the Niagara River, but you will also be taken back in time with the historic forts that once defended the border. As the flight continues, you will see two small lakes, which are actually man-made reservoirs that store water for the Sir Adam Beck II hydroelectric generating stations. Water is diverted from above the falls through underground tunnels and canals to turn the giant turbines that produce electricity. The Welland Canal was first built in 1824 to allow ship passage between lakes Erie and Ontario and to bypassing Niagara Falls. Millions of tons of cargo pass through the canal each year from cities and ports from around the world. From the aircraft window, you will be able to follow the route of the canal and see the various locks along its route. On a clear day, you will also be able to see the city of Toronto and its distinctive skyline including the CN Tower and Skydome. Niagara Falls, truly one of Nature's wonders, is a cascading waterfall over 54 metres high. This spectacular view is also the most breathtaking and scenic segment of your aerial tour of the Niagara Region. We are specially licensed by the Government of Canada to fly at the lowest possible altitude allowed by law over the falls. No one flies lower than we do, not even the helicopters. Unlike the helicopters, each and every passenger has a window seat so you won't miss the wonderful photo opportunities available. Our meticulously maintained aircraft allow us to carry as many as 33 people every 20 minutes and our professional staff will assist passengers in and out of the plane safely and quickly. Throughout the flight, passengers are provided with an informative commentary highlighting the history and development of the Niagara region. This commentary is provided in stereo in a variety of languages to enhance the tour for everyone. We use only high-winged Cessna aircraft, allowing for maximum visibility of the magnificent sights below. These airplanes are specially equipped for sightseeing tours with stereo headsets so that each passenger can enjoy the informative commentary describing the rich history and development of the region. Our airplanes have no middle seats, unlike the helicopters, so every seat is a window seat from which you have an excellent opportunity for memorable videos and photos. Our aircraft are meticulously maintained and pass continual safety inspections conducted by the Government of Canada and are controlled by flight service to ensure passenger safety. The professionally-trained pilots undergo continuous training. This extensive training, along with the successful completion of government exams, allows the pilots to fly in the restricted airspace over Niagara Falls. The comfortable aircraft are designed to make them easy to board and de-board, and our courteous staff are present to provide any assistance necessary. All of our air tours are fully wheelchair accessible.
