Take an exhilarating hot air balloon ride over the Lindsay and Peterborough areas of Ontario. Take in aerial views of the area's famous waterways and landmarks during approximately one hour of flight time.

Lindsay is located on the Scugog River and in the Kawartha Lakes region of southern Ontario. Lindsay developed around a sawmill and grist mill. The saw mill was burned during a massive fire disaster in 1861, but it still stands and is one of Lindsay's most popular landmarks.

Peterborough is on the Otonabee River and is a major city as part of the Trent-Severn Waterway because of the Peterborough Lift Locks. The locks are the highest hydraulic boat lifts in the world. The many waterways in and around Peterborough allowed it to become one of the first places in Canada to use hydro electrical power. Its hydro electrical power capabilities created an industrial growth with companies like Canadian General Electric, Quaker Oats and Pepsi opening facilities there.

Feel free to bring your camera, video camera or binoculars. However, please bring a case to protect them from being broken during landing. After landing, enjoy a champagne toast. The champagne toast is an age-old tradition following a safe hot air balloon ride. Lindsay is about an hour and 45 minutes and 83 miles (133.6 kilometers) northeast of Toronto.

Summary: TWO WEEKS MINIMUM ADVANCE BOOKING REQUIRED. Tour does NOT include hotel pick-up or drop-off. There is no child rate discount for this tour. Rates are per person in US dollars. Please reserve online, or call us toll-free at 888-811-9247. There is a $3.95 processing fee per order. This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order.
There is a service charge per ticket. This charge will be reflected on your summary before you checkout. The total shown includes any and all taxes, fuel surcharges, and service fees. There are no additional charges.

Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

Please plan to be with the tour up to 4 hours in total to allow for check-in, travel to the launch location, safety briefing, set-up, pack-up after landing and the return drive to the original meeting location. Meeting times are between 5:00 am and 6:00 am for sunrise flights and between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm for sunset flights. Exact details will be reflected on your E-ticket. Approximate launch times are 6:30 am and 5:30 pm.

IMPORTANT NOTES
~ When making your reservation, you will be asked to provide the full name, age and weight of each passenger. The weight MUST be accurate within 10 lbs. This is a matter of aircraft safety. The balloon pilot must accurately calculate weight and balance to ensure flight safety for all passengers.
~ Passengers MUST sign a Liability Waiver Form to make flight.
~ Ballooning is extremely weather dependent. There must be less than 10 knots of wind to balloon safely, and there must be no impending storms approaching. Safety is the main concern. The rides will be canceled due to weather conditions or other safety reasons, such as equipment malfunction, pilot illness or injury that could affect the flight's safety.
~ Although hot air ballooning is a safe activity, accidents, incidents and injury can occur. There is always a chance of potential injury, damage to personal property or, perhaps, death in an extreme situation.
~ Passengers MUST be in good physical condition because of possible rough landings. All passengers must be able to climb in and out of the basket, stand for the entire flight and walk out of a field, if necessary.
~ Those who have had recent surgery; injuries; hip, back or knee problems; health concerns; physical limitations; is or may be pregnant; or severe auditory restrictions will not be able to go up in the balloon.
~ Long pants, sleeves and solid footwear are recommended. It is recommended that you layer your clothing so that you may remove or add clothing for comfort. NO open-toed shoes, heels or sandals will be allowed.
